Lifetime Tracking is the driver app for loads booked with Lifetime Logistics Services LLC. While you're on one of our loads, it shares your truck's location with our dispatch team so we can keep the shipper and receiver up to date without calling you.
Getting started
- Install Lifetime Tracking from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open it, read the location notice and tap I agree.
- Allow location and choose Always (iPhone: Allow While Using the App, then Change to Always Allow; Android: While using the app, then Allow all the time). Allow notifications too.
- Open the tracking link our dispatch texted you, or paste it on the Pair this phone screen. You only do this once.
When it shares your location
- Only while you have a load with us: from 4 hours before the pickup appointment until about an hour after you arrive at the receiver, one location every 15 minutes. It stops on its own after delivery.
- Between loads it doesn't use your location at all.
- It keeps working with the app closed and the phone locked once location is set to Always.
Sharing didn't start
- Android: when a load starts, tap the notification from Lifetime Tracking (or open the app and tap Start sharing for this load). Android needs that one tap.
- Check that location is set to Always (Allow all the time) for Lifetime Tracking in your phone's settings, and that battery saver isn't stopping the app.
- Tap Check for loads in the app. If your load still isn't there, call your dispatcher: they may need to send you a new link.
Paperwork photos
Company drivers can send a photo of signed delivery paperwork from the load with Send paperwork photo (POD). The app only takes a photo when you press that button.
Stopping, and your data
- Tap Stop sharing in the app: it stops right away and unpairs your phone. Uninstalling the app also stops it.
