Lifetime Logistics Services LLC, a freight broker and trucking company in Covina, California, handles freight shipping in Texas about once a week, and our Texas is mostly west Texas. What Texas means for us

Texas is the eastern edge of the region we serve, and we do not cover all of it. In our records for January through September 2026, about four Texas loads in five were in El Paso and the communities next to it. Most of the rest were in the Dallas and Fort Worth area. We had a single load to Laredo.

So this page is for shippers moving freight between the West Coast and west Texas, or between El Paso and north Texas. It is not a claim that we cover Houston, San Antonio or the Gulf Coast every week, because we do not.

El Paso

Two thirds of our Texas loads were deliveries, and the core of them is the Los Angeles to El Paso lane: about 810 miles on Interstate 10 and two days with one driver. Dry vans left Compton, Carson, Torrance and Hawthorne for El Paso, and power only loads left the Inland Empire.

Our own trucks hauled close to two thirds of all our Texas loads. That is one of the highest shares of any state we serve. More on the market itself, including Santa Teresa on the New Mexico side, is on the El Paso page.

How far west El Paso really is

It helps to remember how wide Texas is. El Paso is closer by road to San Diego than it is to Houston, and it sits in a different time zone from the rest of the state. For a West Coast shipper it behaves more like a far corner of the Southwest than like part of the Texas market, which is why we can serve it well from California.

Dallas and Fort Worth

We reached the Dallas and Fort Worth area about once a month. These loads did not start in California. They picked up in the El Paso and Santa Teresa area and ran about 650 miles east on Interstate 10 and Interstate 20, delivering south of Dallas and west of Fort Worth.

Partner carriers hauled all of them. We have not yet built regular freight from California straight through to Dallas, a trip of roughly 1,400 miles, and we would quote that as a one off.

Freight out of Texas

Pickups were about one Texas load in four. From El Paso we brought dry vans back to the Inland Empire on our own trucks, and sent a couple to the Arizona border. When our truck is in El Paso with nothing booked for the return, that is the best time to ask us about a westbound load.

Practical details

El Paso is on Mountain Time, one hour ahead of Los Angeles. The rest of Texas, including Dallas and Fort Worth, is on Central Time, two hours ahead. Please give appointment times in the local time of the delivery.

Freight delivering in El Paso is often on its way to a plant in Ciudad Juarez. We deliver to the broker or transfer yard on the United States side and do not list cross border service.

We have no office, terminal or employees in Texas. Every load is dispatched from Covina, California. Related coverage: New Mexico and Arizona.

Questions shippers ask

Which parts of Texas do you serve?
Mainly El Paso and west Texas, about once a week, and the Dallas and Fort Worth area about once a month. We do not run regular freight to Houston, San Antonio or south Texas.
How long does a load take from California to El Paso?
Two days with one driver. It is about 810 miles on Interstate 10 from the Los Angeles area.
Do you use your own trucks for Texas loads?
Often. Close to two thirds of our Texas loads in 2026 were on our own trucks, mainly the dry vans between Los Angeles County and El Paso.
Can you ship from Los Angeles to Dallas?
We can quote it, but it is not a lane we run regularly. Our Dallas area loads in 2026 started in the El Paso area.
