Flatbed trucking through vetted partner carriers

Lifetime Logistics Services LLC arranges flatbed trucking for freight that cannot go in an enclosed trailer. We are a freight broker in Covina, California, and we cover several flatbed loads a week, mostly out of Phoenix and California, with partner carriers that we vet before every load. To get a price, send the quote form with the pickup, delivery, dimensions and weight, or call (562) 566-8953.

How we cover flatbed freight

We want to be direct about this: our own fleet is dry vans, so flatbed loads go to partner carriers. In our records for January through September 2026, nearly every flatbed load we handled was hauled by an outside carrier working under our broker authority.

What you get from us is one point of contact who finds the truck, confirms the driver has the right securement gear for your freight, tracks the load and handles the paperwork. Before we give a carrier your load, we check their authority, insurance and identity through Highway.

Where our flatbed loads run

Phoenix is our busiest flatbed origin by a wide margin. More than half of our flatbed loads in 2026 picked up in the Phoenix area. About one a week delivered into the San Diego area, and about one a week ran north to the Salinas Valley and the Central Coast, a trip of close to 700 miles.

Inside California we also moved flatbeds out of the Salinas Valley to the Los Angeles area and to northern Nevada, and from the Inland Empire to the El Paso area. Flatbed made up about one load in eight across everything we moved.

Flatbed, step deck and what to tell us

A standard flatbed is 48 or 53 feet long with a deck about five feet off the ground. It works for freight up to roughly eight and a half feet tall. Taller pieces usually need a step deck, which has a lower main deck. A handful of our 2026 loads called for a step deck, and one needed a lowboy, so we can source them, but they are not an everyday request for us.

  • Length, width and height of the largest piece, and the total weight
  • How it loads and unloads: forklift from the side, crane, or from a dock
  • Whether it needs tarps, and what kind
  • Any pieces wider than eight and a half feet, since those need permits and more lead time

What we do not promise

We do not list heavy haul, oversize permits or escort services as things we do every week, because our records do not show that. If your load is over width, over height or over 48,000 pounds, send the details anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can cover it or not.

Questions shippers ask

Do you own flatbed trailers?
No. Our own trailers are 53 foot dry vans. Flatbed loads are hauled by partner carriers that we vet through Highway, and we manage the load from quote to delivery.
What can go on a flatbed?
Freight that loads from the side or the top, or that is too large for trailer doors: building materials, steel, machinery, crated equipment and similar freight. A standard flatbed carries up to about 48,000 pounds.
Which flatbed lanes do you run most often?
Phoenix to the San Diego area and Phoenix to the Salinas Valley and Central Coast, each about once a week in 2026. We also run flatbeds from the Salinas Valley to Los Angeles and to northern Nevada.
What determines a flatbed rate?
Distance, weight, dimensions, tarping, how the freight loads, how much notice we get and how many flatbeds are available near the pickup that day. Send the quote form with dimensions and we will price the load.
