Freight shipping in Nevada
Lifetime Logistics Services LLC, a Covina, California freight broker with its own trucks, handles freight shipping in Nevada several times a week. Nearly nine loads in ten are in the Las Vegas valley, moving to and from Los Angeles and in from Phoenix in dry vans and box trucks, with flatbeds to northern Nevada about once a month. Two very different halves
Nevada freight, for us, is really two separate markets more than 400 miles apart. In the south is Las Vegas, which we serve every week from Southern California and Arizona. In the north is the Interstate 80 corridor east of Reno, which we reach much less often and from different origins.
Across the whole state we averaged a little over five loads a week from January through September 2026. About six in ten were deliveries into Nevada, three in ten were pickups leaving it, and the rest stayed inside the Las Vegas valley.
Southern Nevada
The Las Vegas market includes North Las Vegas and Henderson. We run about one load a week each way on the Los Angeles to Las Vegas lane and about one a week up from Arizona on the Phoenix to Las Vegas lane.
This is also where we use box trucks most. Around one load in six in Nevada moved on a straight truck, either a small shipment from Los Angeles or a short move inside the valley.
Northern Nevada
Our northern Nevada volume is modest, a few loads a month. The most regular piece is flatbed freight from the Salinas Valley in California over Donner Pass on Interstate 80 to the area east of Reno, about once a month and roughly 360 miles.
We also sent power only and dry van loads from the Inland Empire to Sparks, to Elko County and to Ely a handful of times. Those trips run up US 395 or US 93 and are 450 to 700 miles, so most are two day trips for one driver.
If you ship in the Reno and Sparks area regularly, we would like to hear about it, but we will not pretend it is a core market for us today.
Distances inside Nevada
Nevada is large and nearly empty between its two cities. Las Vegas to Reno is about 440 miles on US 95, with long gaps between fuel stops, so a load between the two is a full day of driving. Most freight for northern Nevada does not pass through Las Vegas at all. It arrives from Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area on Interstate 80.
Carriers and coverage
Partner carriers hauled about five in six of our Nevada loads in 2026, and nearly all of the box truck and flatbed loads. Our own trucks appear mostly on dry vans between Las Vegas and Southern California. Partner carriers are vetted through Highway before each load.
What affects Las Vegas most is the event calendar. During the largest conventions, trucks into the valley can be in short supply and delivery windows at venues are strict.
We have no office or yard in Nevada. Dispatch is in Covina, California.
Questions shippers ask
- Do you serve both Las Vegas and Reno?
- Las Vegas every week. The Reno and Sparks area only occasionally: a few loads a month reach northern Nevada, mostly flatbeds from California.
- How often do you ship to Nevada?
- Several loads a week on average from January through September 2026, nearly all of them to or from the Las Vegas valley.
- Can you move small shipments in Nevada?
- If the shipment needs its own truck, yes. We arrange box trucks through partner carriers in and around Las Vegas. We do not list shared, less than truckload service.
- Do you have trucks based in Nevada?
- No. Our own trucks are based in Southern California, and our only office is in Covina, California.
