Los Angeles to Seattle freight
Lifetime Logistics Services LLC moves Los Angeles to Seattle freight about once a week, mostly as power only loads. Trucks leave the Inland Empire east of Los Angeles, travel roughly 1,170 miles up Interstate 5 and deliver around Tacoma and the Puget Sound in two to three days. We are a Covina, California freight broker with our own trucks, so send the quote form or call (562) 566-8953.

Where these loads really start and end
We use the names Los Angeles and Seattle because that is how shippers search for this lane, but we want to be exact. In our records for January through September 2026, the loads started in the Inland Empire, about 60 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, mostly in Redlands and Rialto.
They delivered in the south Puget Sound: Fife, Auburn and Sumner near Tacoma, along with Tukwila and Federal Way, and some continued north of Seattle to Skagit County. We quote pickups anywhere in Greater Los Angeles and deliveries anywhere from Olympia to Bellingham.
The route
Interstate 5 runs the whole distance. From Southern California it crosses the Tejon Pass, runs the length of the Central Valley through Sacramento and Redding, and climbs past Mount Shasta to the Siskiyou Summit at the Oregon line, the highest point on the interstate.
From there it follows the Willamette Valley through Eugene and Salem to Portland, crosses the Columbia River into Washington, and continues through Olympia to Tacoma and Seattle. In winter, chains may be required over the Siskiyous, and that pass is the most common cause of delay.
Typical transit time
One driver may drive eleven hours in a shift under federal rules, and then must take ten hours off. At highway speeds 1,170 miles is about two full driving shifts with that break in between. Our own loads took a median of about 53 hours from pickup to delivery.
Plan on the third day after pickup for an appointment delivery, or late on the second day if the receiver takes freight when it arrives. We do not guarantee delivery times, and we do not list team driver service.
What moves on the lane
This is mostly a power only lane. About five loads in six in 2026 were trailers owned by the shipper, with us supplying the tractor and driver. The remainder were standard dry van loads on carrier trailers.
Partner carriers hauled most of them, and our own trucks about one in six. Every partner is vetted through Highway before dispatch. If you need our truck specifically, ask, and we will tell you whether one is available for your date.
Other Northwest destinations from Southern California
The same kind of load goes to a few other places in the region. We sent trucks from the Inland Empire to the Portland area and to Spokane about once a month each in 2026, and a few to southwest Washington.
We do not yet have regular southbound freight from Seattle to Los Angeles. We can quote it, but today it would be a one way search for a truck. See Washington freight shipping and Oregon freight shipping for what we run in each state.
